A letter to my son 2017~
My dear Sonshine
Please always remember that love is not a transaction. When one gives complete love, it’s with no attachment and no expectation.
A gift should never be used in any shape, color, or form of manipulation if given freely and lovingly. Don’t ever feel you owe a person because they have gifted you. A gift is just that. If expectations were tied to the gift, those expectations are lessons and opportunities for growth for the giver.
Love is not bought or bartered. Unconditional love is free. There are no prerequisites or requirements. No guilting, persuading, manipulating, expecting, degrading, etc.
Remember, You may set boundaries and still love. This is love for self. Love of self is the highest form. Not selfish, but in a way that makes you whole and complete, with space to flow from the inside out.
Remember, YOU ARE WORTHY of love simply for being you. Not because you give in or sacrifice pieces of your spirit. Because you are worthy right here and now exactly how you are.
You don’t ‘owe’ anyone a thing. Give and serve from love, not an obligation. Watch peace wrap around your soul like a pure and blissful baby~
Most Lovingly
And endlessly gratefully,
Mom
